When it comes to privacy, Venmo is terrible.
Since 2018, Mozilla has been calling on Venmo to make privacy the default for user transactions. But Venmo is sharing more than just transaction history, it is also sharing location data with third parties.
The responsibility should not be on consumers to navigate overly complicated and convoluted privacy policies, but until Venmo and other platforms implement privacy by default, we’ve got your back.
